Welcome to what started as the place to find Newton and Copernicus on line. After a six month run on Comic Sherpa, I was given a father's day gift of "Newton and Copernicus.com" The rats have been on line just a month short of a year. If you haven't had a chance to read the entire collection, click on the link to my website below.

Thanks for reading, your comments are always welcome.

The Steam Engine Idea. May 12th, 2005

The steam engine from May 12th 2005 is one of my favorites. It was voted a 4.00 with 17 votes at Comic Sherpa. When I was younger, my dad would let me bring home a functioning steam engine from his lab at the school where he taught. The steam, whistle, etc. was fascinating. The wooden toy beneath the strip is one of several I have made, illustrating mainly my own fascination with mechanical gadgets. Perhaps that is where Newton's imagination and ideas merge with my own. Olson link at Comics Sherpa. Those ratings and comments are appreciated and I find them useful. Also, when people vote, I get some feel of how many people are following along. A special thanks to some readers who have let me know they are following regulary. If you would like to leave a message on this web log, just click on the comments link at the bottom of each entry. These are a few of my favorites from my sketch books and from experimenting with water color pencils. Often times I find the original sketch more satisfying than the final draft

Today has been a good day for Newton and Copernicus. It's been the first day that the rating on Comics Sherpa has been over 4 all day. (Hopefully that will last until 10:00 Pacific time when the strip rolls over to tomorrow.) I really appreciate the small following that has developed for the strip. It takes several weeks to open up the story, and I hope my readers enjoy the story as it progresses from here, now that Newton has received the R-7 implant. If you are new to Newton and Copernicus, please change the calendar at the bottom of the strip to March, and you can start with the first strip, which was posted on March 28. We've been on the web just over a week, and the two Lab Rats are looking forward to sharing their world view with you. Sincerely, J. Olson

COMMENTS AND VOTES (Here and on Ucomics) ARE TRULY APPRECIATED.

This is the comics home page from March 31st 2005. I just found it amusing to see my strip on the same page as some of the big name strips. Posted by Hello
